Who am I?
I am a self taught Product Designer based in India. People often call me Harry.
I was born and bought up in Kuwait for the first 17 years of my life after which I moved to Kerala, India to study Business & Economics.
These years of my life seeing people from different spectrums of life and the ability to still connect with them proved to paramount in me being a designer in my later years.
What we now call user-centric behaviours actually was innate to me in the form of high empathy inculcated by my parents who lived almost all their life in another country to give me and my brothers a better life. They always taught me to think from other people’s perspective.
How did I start in design?
I fell in love with design in my first job as a Product Associate at a startup where I had the chance to work in Sketch and a new tool called Figma :)
The ability to step into someone else’s shoes and think about how they interact with digital products felt almost natural to me even though I had no formal education. Thus began a journey of practise and experimentation.
After a mostly freelance roles for couple of years which I took up to fund my B2B fresh tea business. Unfortunately I had to shut this down and pick up my first full time role at Almabase.
My first full time role got me into B2B SaaS space and I have had the chance to work on some of the most challenging problems in the alumni management space with Almabase in the last two years
Life outside of work
I am a husband, father to a baby boy and two cats. My life outside of work mostly is occupied by these beautiful characters. I cherish every second I have with them because apparently everything goes by fast :)
For some ME time, I usually play football or hit the gym to improve my football. I like to read fiction in the night and long form articles on Medium and Substack every other time of the day.

Tea & Co was founded after discovering a pain point for farmers who produced high quality tea but yet made very less money selling them to middle-men. Tea & Co connected farmers with businesses like restaurants, hotels and event companies who needed high quality tea. This ensured farmers with more disposable income than usual. Before COVID Tea & Co delivered to more than 40 businesses on a regular basis and 110 businesses in total.
